INT VALENTINE'S DAY DANCE SOUNDSTAGE (NIGHT)

Johnny and Quentin are standing on opposite sides of Alyssa Milano, each smiling and trying to impress the beautiful "Charmed" star.

JOHNNY
(feeding more nonsense to Alyssa)
...and that's not all I have done for the show, my show.

QUENTIN
(correcting him)
You mean, OUR show.

JOHNNY
(ignoring Quentin)
Aren't you just dying to dance with me? I am the hottest guy here, you know, hu-huh.

Alyssa Milano

Quentin clears his throat. He does not appreciate the put-down. Alyssa, who is dressed as Dorothy from "The Wizard of Oz", seems to have been ignoring both Johnny and Quentin until this point.

ALYSSA MILANO
I do want to dance with the hottest guy here, Johnny, but he hasn't arrived yet.

Johnny and Quentin look at each other, puzzled. Just then, Alyssa's boyfriend, Brian Krause, enters. He is dressed as the Scarecrow from "The Wizard of Oz".

BRIAN KRAUSE
Hey, Alyssa-babe. Sorry I'm late.
(kisses her on the cheek)

ALYSSA
Brian, may I introduce Johnny Bischoff and Stone Anders from the WB's Grosse Pointe.

BRIAN
(extends his hand for a handshake)
Hey, guys.

JOHNNY
(Shakes hands with Brian as he corrects Alyssa)
That's Johnny Bishop...

QUENTIN
(going into his "James Bond" imitation as he shakes hands with Brian)
And "King, Quentin King".

BRIAN
Thanks for keeping my girlfriend company, but I can take over from here.

With that, he and Alyssa both make a quick exit before either Johnny or Quentin can protest. Johnny turns to Quentin after Brian and Alyssa leave.

JOHNNY
Well, at least I can go dance with my date now. I'll leave you here to play with your water pistol.

QUENTIN
(wanting to come back with a better put-down, he gives up instead)
Yeah, I might end up doing just that.

Johnny leaves Quentin and approaches Marcy. When Johnny realizes that he will now probably spend the rest of the night dancing with Marcy, that same sour look that he had when he asker Marcy out that morning crosses his face again.

JOHNNY
Marcy, I'll dance with you now.

MARCY
(not receptive to the offer)
What, Johnny?

JOHNNY
(sensing the coldness in her voice)
I said I'll dance with you now. I WANT to dance with you.

MARCY
(asking with a matter-of-fact tone in her voice)
Well, Johnny, how does it FEEL to want?

With that, she turns from him and storms off, leaving Johnny without a date for the first time in his entire life as he contemplates losing not only Alyssa Milano, but his date Marcy as well.
