INT SCHOOL HALLWAY(DAY)
Hunter and Johnny have just finished rehearsing a scene in the school's hallway.
DIRECTOR
Cut! That's it for rehearsal. Second team!
KEVIN
Second team rehearsal!
Dave walks in front of the cameras and approaches an angry Hunter.
DAVE
Sorry to hear that Josh is going with Courtney. I know you wanted to go with him. Maybe you can go with Ashley Hamilton instead?
HUNTER
(surprised to hear that Dave knows about her wanting Josh)
What? How did you hear that I wanted to go to the dance with Josh?
DAVE
(not willing to reveal his source)
Oh. You know--you know the gossip mill here on the set.
HUNTER
(pausing a moment as a new plan springs into her head)
Yeah, well, rumor has it you want to give something nice to Marcy for Valentine's Day.
DAVE
(not knowing where Hunter is going with this)
Yeah...
HUNTER
Well, I'll tell you what you can get for Marcy and where to get it. All you have to do is give me that sign around your neck and give Johnny's invite to Ashley so he and I can go to the dance together.
DAVE
I think I can handle that. Tell me what I can get for Marcy.
Hunter leans in and whispers into his ear. At first, Dave is not sure that Hunter's suggestion would work, then he realizes it may be just the ticket.
DAVE
All right. Just let me know where I can get that and I'll get one after we wrap today.
Hunter smiles as she continues to form a devious plan for the dance that night.
