INT SCHOOL HALLWAY (DAY)
Joshua Jackson and Courtney are standing on the set after completing a scene.
COURTNEY
That was a great performance for that scene, Josh.
JOSH
Thanks. You were very good, too, Courtney.
COURTNEY
(suddenly getting cold feet)
Uh-huh. Look, ah. This may be completely unprofessional, but no harm in asking, right? The WB is holding a dance tonight. Would you like to go with me?
JOSH
Yeah, okay. Why not?
COURTNEY
(star-struck for a moment)
Really? Great! Great. I'll...I'll talk with you later then.
Courtney leaves as Hunter and Marcy enter. Hunter does not see Joshua on the set several yards away as she rattles off to Marcy her version of what had happened the day before in the make-up trailer.
HUNTER
(continuing)
...and then Josh stood behind the chair I was sitting in and he ran his fingers through my hair! Then, he started to whisper sweet nothings in my ear. It was sooo romantic.
MARCY
(believing the blatant lies, Marcy is not happy)
You two...seem to have hit it off.
HUNTER
You bet! And I'm going to ask him to go with me to the dance tonight.
Marcy then realized that Courtney probably has already asked Josh to the dance. She was about to say something about it, but Kevin, who is now in front of the cameras, interupts.
KEVIN
First team's on the set!
Kevin then exits and stands behind Rob, who is seated behind the cameras next to the director's chair. Marcy stands next to Rob, and they watch as the director instructs Josh and Hunter on the next scene to be filmed. When the director is done, Hunter starts in on Joshua about Dawson's Creek before the director can return to his chair behind the cameras. Joshua just nods along as Hunter rambles on.

Not that I don't have a life or anything, but Pacey better not break up with Joey because they look so cute together and it's a good thing that Dawson now has Gretchen so he won't be whining all the time and...
DIRECTOR
Everyone, this is a rehearsal! Quiet on the set!
HUNTER
...I mean, Gretchen's really good for Dawson because she's older and more experienced, unlike Joey, who's probably gonna die a vir--
DIRECTOR
Hunter!
HUNTER
(annoyed)
Yeah, yeah. Okay, I'm ready.
DIRECTOR
And ACTION!
HUNTER
(now in character)
I heard you were leaving, Luke.
JOSH
Yeah. Becky, my parents kicked me out and they're shipping me to my grandparents on the next flight to Charleston, South Carolina.
HUNTER
What? Isn't that like--
JOSH
A million miles away. Yeah, I know.
HUNTER
Look. No matter what happens or where you go, I want you to know you were my first love, and even though I'm with Stone now, you will always have a very special place in my heart and always will.
Josh and Hunter look into each other's eyes and they share a slow, romantic kiss. As scripted, Hunter starts getting more into the kiss as the music picks up. The cameras begin to press in closer.
HUNTER
Mmmm...ohhh...
DIRECTOR
(quietly to Rob)
This is good. I think we'll let the scene run.

Suddenly,it is obvious that Hunter is no longer acting. She begins to run her fingers through Josh's hair and presses herself closer to him, forcing him back into the lockers. Marcy becomes more uncomfortable as the director lets the rehearsal of the scene go on.
MARCY
(to Rob)
She's gonna bite his head off.
Rob shrugs and lets the director decide when to end the scene. Then, Josh motions with his free hand to the director to cut the scene.
DIRECTOR
Annnnd CUT! I think we'll let the scene run like that when we film it. Kevin, call in the second team.
HUNTER
(still going as she squeezes Josh tighter)
Mmmmmm!
JOSH
Hunter...Hunter! The scene is over.
HUNTER
(releases the embrace)
Huh? Oh, right. When they need us in front of the cameras again, I've got something important to ask you.
Hunter exits and glares at Marcy as she passes by her.
MARCY
(under her breath)
I don't believe she did that.
Kevin steps in front of the cameras.
KEVIN
Second team's in! The second team is up...hey, Marcy, you know where Dave went?
Marcy shakes her head no and sits in an empty chair as she contemplates things. She is clearly upset with Hunter for going after Josh, completely forgetting for the moment that she has a date with Johnny that night.
JOSH
(approaching Marcy)
Are you all right? It looks like something's bothering you.
MARCY
No, no. I'm fine. (looks at the floor for a moment, then back at Josh) Hi, Josh.
JOSH
(offering her a hand up)
Come on. Let's get you out of here.
Marcy takes his hand and stands. They leave together as we...
MARCY
(to Rob)
