INT VALENTINE'S DAY DANCE SOUNDSTAGE (NIGHT)
A slow song starts. Hunter puts her arms around Josh and snuggles in close.
JOSH
Ah, Hunter? I'm here with Courtney. I really should be dancing with her.
HUNTER
I know. I just wanted to have at least one dance with the hottest guy here, that's all. Don't spoil my fun, it might make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.
She hugs him tighter, making Josh feel more and more like he is being squeezed by a boa constrictor.
JOSH
(trying to free himself)
Ah, look, Hunter. I think you're great. Really, really great. I'm here tonight with Courtney, all right? No offense, but I think it's time I dance with my date.
HUNTER
(releases her grip)
Fine. Go dance with that hefty bag of trash.
Hunter then exits. Josh goes over to Courtney and Marcy.
JOSH
Sorry about that.
COURTNEY
It's over now. Let's just dance.
MARCY
(adding--)
While you still can.
Josh looks at Marcy, wondering what she meant by that. Courtney takes Josh by the hand and they go back out to the dance floor. Marcy returns to the refreshment table and pours herself another cup of punch. As she begins to drink, she begins to wonder if Hunter, or anyone else for that matter, has already spiked the punch. Too late to worry about that, she is half-way through her second cup. Unexpectedly, Shannen Doherty approaches Marcy again.

MARCY
Huh?
SHANNEN
And how did that back-stabbing wench, Hunter, get in here anyway?
MARCY
Oh. What was that?
SHANNEN
You heard me. I know for an absolute fact that she was not sent an invitation, so how did she get in, hm?
MARCY
Um. She's here with...ah, she's here with somebody.
SHANNEN
(impatient, hands on hips)
Who?
MARCY
Just somebody that's not all that important.
ASHLEY
(interrupting, to Shannen)
Hi, Honey. Hunter's with me.
SHANNEN
Oh. Oh! It's okay then. "Not all that important", you got that right!
Shannen leaves, laughing hysterically. Shannen considers it a pathetic joke. Ashley ignores the laughter. He is obviously still in love with Shannen.
ASHLEY
Hey, Marcy. Do you know where Hunter is?
MARCY
Yeah. She's over...
Marcy looks around, but Hunter is nowhere to be seen.
ASHLEY
That's all right. I'll find her.
Ashley leaves. Marcy continues to look around for Hunter. When she spots her, Hunter is standing in front of the microphone on the stage where the rock band was playing.
I know Jason Priestley was on your set. Don't believe any of the rumors he spread about me. He and I never even kissed!
MARCY

SHANNEN
